Logline:

A teacher's visit to a student's home takes a sinister turn when she discovers that the parents are not who they seem.

"The Visit" is a short suspenseful film showcasing my cinematography skills, shot during my first year of enrollment in SCAD's film program. Although it carries a juvenile touch, the story is imbued with suspense, thrills, and unexpected reversals, making it a creative and heartfelt piece of work. This film, though created early in my academic journey, reflects my passion for storytelling through cinematography, as well as my ability to build tension and deliver dramatic reveals.

Synopsis:
Ms. Johnson, a teacher, visits the home of one of her students, Tommy, to discuss his academic progress. Upon arriving, she notices strange details around the house that don't quite add up. The size of the father's shoes is too small for his feet, and the hair on the sofa doesn't match the mother's hair. As Ms. Johnson investigates further, she becomes increasingly suspicious and decides to sneak around the house to uncover the truth. She discovers a locked room and upon forcing her way in, she finds Tommy's real parents tied up and gagged. As she tries to free them, the fake parents, who had been hiding behind her, reveal themselves in knives.
